Lucius Bell, Music Minister

Lucius Bell Jr. is the music minister at Holy Family Lutheran Church, as well as a performing artist, music educator, and CEO of his non-profit, Home Tone Music and Arts Foundation. He performs Jazz, Pop, Gospel, and Classical Music as a vocalist, pianist, and bassist while also utilizing those skills in a variety of educational settings. He has two degrees in music: a BMA from Lincoln University, and an MFA from Governors State University. Additionally, he has a Broadcast Media MFA degree from Columbia College of Chicago.

Since 1971, Lucius continues to perform as a featured Jazz artist while now working as Artistic Director for The Quarry Event Center in South Shore. He recently retired from his role of Minister of Music at St. Mark United Methodist Church. He has served both churches since 1985.

Pastor Nannette C. Dixon

Rev. Nannette Dixon is the Senior Pastor of Holy Family Lutheran Church in Chicago. An ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, she is a lifelong Chicagoan and a passionate advocate for a faith that nurtures, liberates, and transforms. 

A lover of people, poetry, worship, and the sacraments, Rev. Dixon believes the church is called to be a place of belonging, healing, and justice. Her ministry is grounded in the conviction that Christ’s table is open to all and that communion is both a sacred gift and a powerful witness to God’s liberating love. In her essay, “This Is My Body,” published in Presbyterian Outlook, she reflects on the transformative power of the Eucharist as an act of remembrance, resistance, and hope.

Rev. Dixon brings together extensive experience in ministry, community engagement, and public service. Her leadership has taken her across diverse cultural and faith contexts throughout the United States and around the world, deepening her commitment to building bridges, fostering understanding, and accompanying people on their spiritual journeys.

Prior to her call to Holy Family Lutheran Church, she served as Vice President for Community Engagement and Alumni Relations at McCormick Theological Seminary, where she earned her Master of Divinity and faithfully served for more than a decade. During her tenure, she helped shape future church leaders by teaching courses in biblical studies, prayer, public theology, and pastoral practice.

She holds a Master of Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois Chicago, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Aurora University, and is a licensed administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory.

Rev. Dixon is married to Rev. Dr. Llewellyn Dixon, pastor of Jubilee Faith Community Church in Country Club Hills, IL.. Together, they serve the church and their community with creativity, compassion, and a deep commitment to God’s work of love, liberation, and reconciliation.

Jeffrey Albaugh is a board certified advanced practice urology clinical nurse specialist, research doctor, sexuality and couples counselor at Jesse Brown VA and NorthShore University HealthSystem. He and his wife Julie began coming to Holy Family in 2018 and have loved being more involved over the years and a part of this amazing church ever since.

Pastor Emeritus,
Rev. Dr. Charles Infelt

The Rev. Dr. Charles Infelt was honored as Pastor Emeritus by Holy Family for his 36 years of service as pastor to the congregation. His fruitful service to the congregation included pastoral care to the residents of Cabrini in the midst of violence, poverty, and injustice, as well as supervision of seminary students, and growth of Holy Family’s congregational life.

He helped to found an after-school program, the Holy Family School and Ministries, Lutheran Congregations for Career Development, Cabrini Alive, Near North Unity Program, the Atrium Village mixed-income residence project and helped to build an innovative vision for ministry at Holy Family. Pastor Infelt retired in 2011, and lives in Waverly, Iowa with his wife, Lou.
